It’s not what you know…
To say businesses have had an epic struggle recently is an understatement of huge proportions. Yet, as business owners, we keep going. We endure, we find new opportunities to adapt our offering, and we count on the support of family and friends to get us through tough times.
For me, i’ve been happy to be the person that people came to with their questions on what support was available, the logistics of making support claims, and sometimes, it’s just been for a general chat on what options they have to adapt their business to a model that can continue to trade during a pandemic. Sometimes, it was just about vocalising their fears for their business out loud, and to get some reassurance.
I’ve completed CJRS and SEISS claims on my client’s behalf, and to investigate what is on offer, in an ever-changing situation. I have been happy to offer suggestions, and to just be that person on the other end of a chat. All bets are off at the moment and sometimes, it’s not the work you carry out for a client or the services they pay for, it’s just being supportive and being that person that can be relied upon to be positive and pro-active in supporting with potential solutions and helping keep their business present, by liking and sharing posts, making recommendations.
This works for my business too. I have had some amazing support from friends, family and fellow business owners, for which I am very grateful. For all those who have, and continue to, come to me for support, I hope that I offer you the support that you need during these tough times. If there is anything else I can do to help, please let me know. And for those who continue to support me, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Sometimes it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.
